Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Dainik Jagran-inext Healthon Half Marathon, set to take place at the Police Line Ground in Dehradun on 2nd March. In anticipation of the event, organizers will start distributing bibs to participants on Friday at the "Bib Carnival" held on February 28th and March 1st.

What is a Bib?

In marathons and races, a bib is a special identification number worn by runners on their t-shirts or jerseys. This unique number helps identify each runner individually. The bib not only displays the participant's name and race category but also a unique number. Moreover, in many marathon events, an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip is attached to the bib to track the runners' times accurately.

Thousands Expected to Participate

The administration and Dainik Jagran-inext are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations to ensure that the Healthon Half Marathon is a grand success. Thousands of runners, including school students, youth, professional athletes, and community members, are expected to join the race. A substantial police force will be deployed along the route to maintain order and ensure safety, along with ambulances and medical camps set up at strategic points.

High Enthusiasm for Healthon

Participants are showing great enthusiasm for the Healthon Half Marathon. This will be the first time Dainik Jagran-inext is organizing Healthon in Dehradun. The Healthon Half Marathon is not just a race; it is a major event aimed at promoting a healthy and clean Dehradun. Thousands of participants, including school students, youth, professional runners, and people from various fields, are expected to join.
Additionally, many IAS and IPS officers, Army personnel, ex-servicemen, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, Scouts and Guides, medical students, nursing students, doctors, pharmacists, and athletes are also expected to participate, showcasing the widespread enthusiasm and community spirit for this event.
